Weekly Meeting!!

Hello Tyros family!! We're here in Plainfield at Buffalo Wild Wings. A lot has happened today and I really wish I could share it with you guys but in due time.

Not much to update yet. Whenever I get the word that it's okay I'll jump on here and get the word out!

My 7th grade boys lost to Avon North tonight. I'm going to miss these guys. We had a good season, we learned a lot, and the kids improved greatly.

Take care all!

Snow, snow go away? Is that how the song goes?

I'm currently sitting in the "office" of The Tyros (aka Buffalo Wilds Wings in good ole' Plainfield, IN). Our boys are at it again. They're working hard up in Lafayette trying to get this thing ready for our Introduction Party on February 17th.

We've been blessed with such a hard working, honest, and open team. These guys are seriously like brothers to me which is important in any venture, especially a start-up venture.

The snow is still coming down. I'm confused by this weather.

Last night I was on the phone with Kyle discussing the Introduction Party. I heard "Moon River" playing in the background. You can make your own assumptions. In the meantime check out our latest videos:

What does that spell? LOCK IN!

What a weekend! The lock-in is in it's final leg. I just downed a 5-hour energy and I'm feeling like Kyle does when ACDC is pumping during the kick-off during his pre-game Colts ritual.

I'm currently listening to Lady Antebellum. Yeah, that's right Kenan I'm listening to Lady Antebellum.

We've been getting some work done and it's good to be with these guys working on something we love doing. I gave it my best shot to get Reba on the T.V. during last nights final stretch. Tony, ignorantly turned me down. If only he knew how funny Van is on that show he would have changed his mind.

Make sure to blast out our YouTube channel to the millions! www.youtube.com/user/thetyrosinc

Stay classy Hell, MI and Paradise, MI which happen to be close to each other!

Give Me An O-C-K

Day 2 of the lock in. Our Mastermind of Programming has arrived and is all set up here in the basement. This is what a future titan of industry company looks like:

We're getting a lot of stuff done. Let me go over what I think you have to have to ensure success in a venture like this. An incredible team. We've assembled just that. Kyle & I are currently having a not so flattering back and forth. To be honest I would punch him in the face if I knew he didn't have any more work to do tonight. But you move on.

In all seriousness this team gels just perfectly and it's easy to work with these guys and to be creative. Make it happen tonight folks.

Give Me An "L"

Day (Night) 1 of the lock-in. Tony, Kyle, and I are locked in Tony's basement planning for the weekend, the Tyros Introduction (Investor) Party, and business planning for the future.

I wanted to give a shout out to all of our believers. We have been very blessed as an extremely small start-up to meet some high energy & enthusiastic people. I had lunch with Kenan Farrell today. Please check him out at www.klflegal.com

Jeremy King is throwing the Introduction Party for us at his home. Check his business out at www.flashpointhr.com

It's imperative and vital to the heartbeat of a start-up to have the support we've been receiving. So thank you to them and obviously we're taking the correct path because of the enthusiasm our product is starting to generate.

I will continue to blog throughout the lock-in. Tomorrow the two Masterminds of User Experience & Programming will arrive and wire themselves in and start hammering it all out to bring this thing to market.

Brady Hoke, Fuzzy, & Armstrong's

Rest easy Ann Arbor, Brady Hoke is your new Head Football Coach. I know "we" didn't get Jim Harbaugh (NFL-bound) or Les Miles (thank the Lord). What "we" got is a loyal, hard-working, and excellent recruiting coach who wants nothing more in his career than to be at Michigan and to be beat Ohio State. For 3 years I gave Rich Rod the benefit of the doubt in saying he will get things turned around but something inside of me always burned when he said the Michigan State game (0-3) & the Ohio State game (0-3) were "just games on the schedule."

Brady Hoke didn't even need to learn the terminology in Ann Arbor:

MSU=The School to the West
OSU=The School Down South

Back to business. We had a good discussion meeting on Tuesday. We're finalizing plans for the Investor Party and we're also preparing for our presentation on February 4th to the City of Shelbyville. Brilliant things are about to happen and we're excited that you guys are along for the ride!

New Week, New Life

I'm not sure how I feel today. I know one thing is for sure. We're on the right path. We just want a glimpse of what is to come. Even a little peek? Who knows. In the world of start-ups you just never know.

We're meeting the right people but lately I think we're having a difficult time staying patient. Anyways, what a weekend of NFL Football. Our beloved Colts got defeated but the Jets better enjoy it because next year when everybody is healthy in Circle City it will be a different outcome.

I think we're looking forward to our meeting tomorrow. We have a lot to cover and more planning to attack. Let's make it happen.

Until tomorrow...stay classy San Diego.

Colts, Colts, Colts!

The Tyros Family...Go HORSE!!

Tony, Kyle, and I are watching the Colts game. Colts are currently up 10-7. We're discussing The Tyros also as we typically always do.

On to more pressing issues. Rich Rodriguez got fired from UM. I'm not 100% set on who I would like them to hire. Brady Hoke would be a good hire. I'm torn on Les Miles. He played at UM and he is a winner. However, he won a national title with Nick Saban's recruiting class. Just please return Michigan to where they should be.

We love you all. Go Horse!

Basketball...Tyros Style

Tyros Family,

We went to the gym last night and played T-Y-R-O-S, 21, and then had some trick-shot fun! Enjoy these two videos.

This is Tony from 50ft.

NFL, MLB, & College Football

Tyros family hello to you! Tony & I are locked up in the office planning the rest of the website. We're ahead of schedule so I think we may run up to the gym and shoot around for a little bit.

Let me gloat a little bit. I work with two devout Colts fans. I don't blame them. The Colts are the apex of how an organization should be run. However, I'm a die hard Lions fan. Obviously admitting to that I deserve some bashing. I told Kyle at the beginning of the season that my boys would go 6-10 and continue their rise upwards from the basement to which they have been the tenant since the 50's. Today my Lions beat a depleted and Favre-less Vikings team which I am okay with. Baby steps Detroit. The CFO of The Tyros is behind you.

Let me also pick a quick bone with Dave Brandon. I'm very happy you are the new A.D. of Michigan but how do you expect to cultivate an atmosphere of success by holding your coach over the coals? You are the former CEO of Domino's, clearly you are business savvy. You know how to inspire people. Use it. It's okay to break down some of the bureaucratic crap that is collegiate sports. Let Rich Rod know if he fired or not. We're losing recruits and precious moments that could help turn this very proud program around. We've already lost Hart to Alabama. If you are going to land Harbaugh then do what you need to do. If not, tell Rich Rod you are fully behind him.

Get used to the Michigan/Colts love! Sports are a huge fabric of life and we love our teams.

Bring on baseball! Tigers v. Braves World Series 11'!!!

Sorry Tony but the Cubs are going to keep rising upward...104.

First Day 2011

Well today is the first day of 2011. Tony & I are sitting in the office working on some marketing stuff and social media tools. As always we are watching a little Office (season 6). Good times.

College football didn't treat me very well today. As you guys will grow to see I am a huge Michigan fan. I'm torn if Rich Rod should get fired. I don't think he should. However, I think Greg Robinson needs to fired so we can recruit some good defensive players in there.

Happy New Year to you all!

Josh (CFO)
