Week In Review

This has been an unbelievable week.  It has been amazing to see our team truly come together as we get prepared for our beta launch!  

The changes that have taken place in the site are absolutely amazing.  Joe, our Mastermind of Programming, is a complete genius and the progress he has made is astonishing!  We are so blessed to have Andrew Markle on the team now!  He is going to be working on the web development team with Joe.  Together they are like having a 10-15 person development team!  It's really cool to hear them talk (speaking their own language) and now how lucky we really are.  We still have spots open for additional beta testers, so if you know of any officials that you think may be interested please have them either email me or info@thetyros.com and we will get back to them.

We will also be announcing the addition of a few more team members here soon!  

Upcoming Events

Tonight we are presenting at Verge!  The event is full currently, but we wish that you all could be there with us!  It is an awesome monthly event for entrepreneurs, developers and investors.  The energy in the room is unreal, and we feel very fortunate for the opportunity to present there.

The first part of July we will be having a HUGE launch/office warming party in Shelbyville, so make sure you keep the first week or so fairly open.  We can't quite nail down a time because the building has to be complete first, but as soon as we know you will know.  And if you know anything about us, we know how to throw a party!

Week In Review

Well this is obviously a few days late, however it is for a very good reason!

This week we met with the Director of Officials for the Ohio High School Athletic Association.

 He really liked what we were doing and we got some incredible feedback.  Through him we are going to be getting connected to some of the biggest officiating leaders in the country!  He is also going to provide us with approximately 200 beta testers as well.  We want to say thank you very much to Mark Baltz for coming with us and being such a great supporter.

Upcoming Events

We have two very exciting events coming up soon.

On April 28th, we will be presenting at Verge, a really cool Meetup for entrepreneurs, developers and investors.  If you would like more information about Verge, or if you would like to come see us present please send me an email, and I will get you the info you need.

After that comes the new biggest day in Tyros history!  On May 16th, we will be launching our beta site!  We are only a little over a week away everyone!  This is super exciting.  If you are an official, or if you have close connections to some, please email me and I can get you/them information about how they can be a beta tester for us.

Surreal Feeling

It is really a surreal feeling to see yourself in the media.  We have been getting  a lot of press lately.  The Shelby News, the Berne Tri-Weekly, INside INdiana Business, the Shelby News, the Shelby News again, the Reporter-Times and today we were in the Indianapolis Business Journal.

It's really kind of amazing to see, almost like an out of body experience.  This whole thing started out with four dudes sitting in Buffalo Wild Wings in Plainfield, talking about a cool idea.  Now, there are 7 of us, in structured meetings, with defined tasks, growing together and developing a cutting-edge company.  We always say that we are a well engineered team, and though it's true, we are all friends also.  We all believe in The Tyros, and we all believe that developing our team is equally important as developing our web app.  We are humble, we are focused, and we know we are going to change the sports world forever.

Even more so, we are blessed, beyond belief.  I want to thank everyone who has supported us and been there to enjoy the ride with us.

PROGRESS BEGINS ONE STEP AT A TIME

There is no sudden leap to greatness. Your success lies in doing, day by day. Your upward reach comes from working well and carefully. Good work done little by little becomes great work. Your house of success will be built brick by brick. Adopt the pace of nature. The secret is patience. A bottle fills drop by drop.

This quote is so very true.  We have been doing the day by day and brick by brick and now things are progressing so very quickly.  It is truly amazing to see our team growing and getting better everyday!

Week In Review

On Monday, we got interviewed by both the Indianapolis Business Journal and the Reporter-Times.  Both papers are going to be running our story this Saturday, so make sure you pick up a copy and look for the online version too!  We are very excited about the attention we have been drawing, and if you have any connections to media please let me know!

We were also approved for the Venture Capital Investment Tax Credit by the Indiana Economic Development Corporation.  This is a HUGE deal for us.  Learn more about it here!

We had a great meeting with two of our favorite people just tonight Mark Baltz and Gary Padjen!  Even though they are old and slow, we always have a lot of fun with them!  Thanks for meeting us gents!

Development 

This is the big news of the week!  Ladies and gents we are getting super close to having something for you to see!  We were VERY fortunate to meet Roban Kearby who has taken over our front-end coding.  He is doing an amazing job and really making things move.  Everyday we get closer and it is really cool to see how much things have changed since Rob has come on board.

Upcoming Events

April 20th is a huge day for The Tyros.  We will be presenting the beta version of our social media network to the Ohio High School Athletic Association in hopes that they will beta test for us!  They are the largest and most progressive association of officials in the U.S. and it is a great connection for us!
